I am a finalist

Great news: I am a finalist for the 2019 Brooklyn Film and Literary Festival’s Prize for Nonfiction
For my submission, I combined and edited two stories from my memoir that are about my involvement with two Brooklyn-focused civil rights initiatives in the late 1960’s.
If you would like to hear my Brooklyn story, as well as those of the other finalists, please consider attending our joint reading this Friday, January 24th, 2020 at 7 p.m. in the Maroney Theater of St. Francis College, located at 180 Remsen Street, Brooklyn Heights, New York, 11201. Admission is free.
At the conclusion of the readings, the winner will be announced.
